Hidden surface channel in two-dimensional multilayers

چکیده

Abstract Numerous carrier scatterers, such as atomic defects, fixed oxide charges, impurities, chemical residues, and undesired surface adsorbates, including oxygen water molecules, strongly degrade the mobility of atomically thin two-dimensional (2D) materials. However, effect adsorbates oxidation on density profile along thickness 2D multilayers is not well known, particularly for a substantial interruption in formation top-surface channel. Here, we uncover hidden channel p-type black phosphorus n-type rhenium disulfide originating from ambient oxides that only populate hole (or reduce electron density) but also suppress mobility. The absence second peak transconductance curve under conditions indicates disappearance inside multilayers, which possible indicator cleanliness top can be used gas sensor applications. Moreover, negligible variation drain bias polarity-dependent turn-on voltage bottom validates exclusive contribution to multilayers. Our results provide novel insight into distinct transport optoelectronic devices diverse sensors.

Hybrid free-surface flows in a two-dimensional channel.

Hybrid free-surface flows past disturbances in a two-dimensional channel are identified and studied. The fluid is assumed to be inviscid and incompressible, and the flow to be steady and irrotational. The disturbances consist of a step in the bottom of the channel and a flat object lying on the free-surface (e.g., a sluice gate). A weakly nonlinear one-dimensional analysis is used to classify t...

Hidden symmetries in two dimensional field theory

The bosonization process elegantly shows the equivalence of massless scalar and fermion fields in two space-time dimensions. However, with multiple fermions the technique often obscures global symmetries. Witten’s non-Abelian bosonization makes these symmetries explicit, but at the expense of a somewhat complicated bosonic action. Frenkel and Kac have presented an intricate mathematical formali...

Two-dimensional XY -like amorphous Co68Fe24Zr8/Al70Zr30 multilayers

We present an experimental realization of a magnetic two-dimensional XY system using amorphous materials. The classification of the dimensionality is based on the critical behavior of amorphous Co68Fe24Zr8(d)/Al70O30 (20Å) multilayers, where d = 11 − 16Å. Analysis of the remanent magnetization, the magnetic isotherms, the initial susceptibility, and the magnetic correlation length shows that th...
